Apples are crispy, juicy and so delicious right now! Could they be any better you ask….how about covering them in chocolate and nuts for a decadent tasting (and looking) healthy treat!
So easy to make, yet super impressive to serve. To really bring the wow factor- add a drizzle of white chocolate, caramel chocolate, almonds, pecans, walnuts, sprinkles, or anything you like really!
What You Need:
Apples cut in 1 CM thick slices.
Chocolate for melting- try milk, dark, white or caramel- whatever you like!
Toasted nuts of choice- try flaked almonds, pecans, walnuts etc
Other pretty toppings and/or chocolates to drizzle
What To Do:
Prepare a baking sheet with baking paper, aluminium foil or reusable non-stick sheet
Toast nuts - set aside to cool
Slice apples into 1 CM thick slices
Melt chocolate either with the double boiler method or in the microwave pending your preference
Working quickly, dip each open side of the apples in the chocolate and place on the prepared sheet. (If the apples aren’t perfectly covered- it is ok- you can cover the open spaces with the secondary drizzle.)
Decorate with a sprinkle of nuts, other toppings and/or drizzle (using a fork dipped in chocolate- moving back and forth quickly to make the drizzle pattern) with more chocolate.
Pop in the fridge until chilled and chocolate is set.
Enjoy!
