Nutritional meat to get you through the cold

Our meat offering has expanded to include all the nutritious cuts you need for your heathy, hearty, winter meals.

There is nothing better than a hearty meal to fill you up and keep you warm in the wintertime – all while boosting your immunity.

The bulk of what makes these meals so satisfying is the right cuts of meat, supplied by a top-quality butcher, and cooked to perfection.

You asked, and we delivered – carnivore mince, lamb liver, chicken liver, and soup marrow bone pieces are now all available on the Minifarms app.

David MacDonald, the third-generation Scottish butcher behind David’s Larder, says there’s more to offal than being the key ingredient in the traditional dish, haggis.

“For example, lamb’s liver you can fry up with bacon and onions. Beef liver is a bit more of a richer flavour, but I would still do something similar with onions,” he said.

Offal is also the additional ingredient in carnivore mince, which is loaded with way more nutritional value than regular beef mince.

That’s because organs are the most nutritious parts of animals. They are packed with vitamins, copper, zinc, iron, magnesium, folic acid, and selenium.

Organ meats are also an excellent source of protein! Incorporating them into your weekly meals is an easy way to ensure a healthier diet for your family.

David’s favourite organ, lamb liver, is the nutritional powerhouse of organ meats, and is often referred to as “nature’s multivitamin”.

What’s more, eating offal is the less expensive way to enjoy meat, and helps to reduce food waste – it’s a win-win-win!

Embrace the cold by feeding your family a hearty winter meal this season. Whether you want to make a soup out of marrow bone pieces, or a stew from organ meat – Minifarms has you covered!
